A jaw joint disorder could be passed down

If you’re someone who’s currently suffering from TMJ symptoms it means that you have a bite that causes your teeth to not come together properly. And because the positioning of our teeth is directly related to our genetics, those who are born with crooked teeth, large teeth, small teeth or teeth that aren’t in their correct position are much more likely to experience jaw problems.  Physiologic dentistry is one of the most efficient approaches to quickly diagnosing what is wrong with the bite and to give objective information on correction the problem.

Inherited teeth problems are more than likely going to lead to a misaligned jaw, which is going to lead to a number of jaw problems. Correcting your jaw disorder is indeed developmental, and epigenetics are beginning to play a role when it comes to finding out who’s more susceptible when it comes to acquiring oral issues.

Epigenetic orthodontics involves using a patient’s biological foundation in order to create a dental appliance, the DNA appliance  they can wear to help correct the misalignment in their jaw. This removable appliance actually uses the patient’s genetic blueprint in order to start the process of readjusting the jaw, which utilizes the body’s natural developmental processes. This new and modern method is so far proving to be very beneficial when it comes to correcting a misaligned jaw.

Our Genome is our actual genes but are Phenome represents is how these genes are expressed after environmental influences.  The DNA appliance is utilized to optimize how are genes are expressed.

A genetic problem… A simple dental solution

Even though TMJ is hereditary it’s important to understand that physical irregularities that you happen to be born with can be corrected with dental treatments. The shape of your teeth can be completely changed and even realigned so that your bite can be fully corrected, which could relieve many of the uncomfortable or even painful symptoms that you’re experiencing.

There are currently some treatments available that can help you. The first treatment option includes a full mouth reconstruction, which involves reconstructing your teeth with porcelain in order to correct the positioning of your teeth. Orthotics can also be used, which involves wearing a dental mouthpiece that’s been specifically made for you in order to correct your jaw joint disorder.
